Habitats and niches are very important for all organisms. A habitat is the environment an organism lives in. This is very important for the creatures survival. A niche is an organisms role or job in their environment. Niches are also essential for a creature to prosper.
My habitat is my house; it is located in the woods and out of town. It has two stories not including my basement. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and many other rooms make up my house. My room is on the second floor, and it is purple. It is located to the right of my little sister, Allie's, room. I have a bed, a couch, and a chair in my room.
I share my habitat with my family. This includes my younger sister, Allie, and my older sister, Morgan. Edy and Eric Doverspike my parents also live in my habitat. We all share the same house. My two dogs Jazzy and Sadie also live in my house.
My niche is being a student a Punxsutawney Area High School. As a student a have the job of learning new material and new activities. I also have the role as an athlete at my school. I play volleyball and basketball, and I run track. I have practices and games most days after school and sometimes on the weekends. Practice is very important so I also do it on my own time. In my habitat I participate in many chores around the house. I do this to keep my home tidy and in a good condition.
As I grow older my niche is going to change. I want to get a job in the medical field and help my patients. Optometry, dentistry, and anesthesiology are a few jobs that I have considered. My habitat will also change later in my life. I plan on moving out of my parents house to a different state.
I have a similar niche as my sisters. Morgan and Allie play are student athletes like me and have chores like I do. We play several of the same sports and they both do many of the same tasks around the house as me.
I have a very different niche than my parents. My dad, Eric, helps run the business my family owns. However, my mother is a real-a-state agent. These are very different jobs than what I am currently doing. Throughout their days, they do many different things that I don't do. A niche and habitat are very important for all organisms.
